Our client is one of the leading cost and management consultancies working across New Zealand. They are in need of an intermediate level Quantity Surveyor with quantity surveying consultancy experience to join their Auckland office to work on new projects. The salary for this position is in the region of $90-100k dependent on your experience. Proficiency in Mandarin is highly desirable because a couple of the company's clients are Chinese.

    Proven experience in Brokerage Compliance with at least one year experience in New Zealand financial industry.

    Confident working on large scale local as well as offshore projects where work and time pressure can be intense;

    Excellent self-management, interpersonal, presentation and communication skills as well as strong relationship management skills and the ability to interact with all stakeholders;

    A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail, and an unquestioned ability to manage confidentiality;

    Fluent in Chinese is a plus;

Labtests is launching a Travel Centre which will collect COVID-19 samples for the purposes of pre-departure testing only. 

Currently, passengers seeking to travel overseas visit their local medical practice for nasopharyngeal sample collection and their swab/s are sent to the Labtests laboratory for testing. For passengers travelling to China, the requirement for an additional test which requires a blood sample will shortly be announced.

By launching the Labtests' Travel Centre and managing the collection and laboratory testing of the sample, we can deliver improved turnaround times for anxious passengers. Passengers will book an appointment and pay for testing online, they will then present at the Travel Centre with their test request form. This ensures a seamless process for the traveller and for Travel Centre staff.

As a Travel Centre specialist you will perform phlebotomy services and nasopharyngeal sample collection for COVID-19 pre-departure testing. It will be imperative to work collaboratively as part of a team to provide efficient and effective operation of the Travel Centre whilst demonstrating behaviour that reflects the values of Labtests.

To be considered for the role you must be fully registered and hold an Annual Practising Certificate (2 years minimum), without conditions and a full New Zealand driver's license.

Additionally, you will impress us with your:

    High level of technical competency in phlebotomy and other specimen collection procedures

    Focus on exceptional customer service

    Culturally and socially sensitivity to customers needs

Hours of work:

Black & Gold – Coffee and eatery is looking for an experienced restaurant/eatery Manager to join our award winning, high performing team. 

We are casual and fast pace eatery that has a strong local reputation for delivering innovative, high quality, detail focused food and beverage to our customers. We have been recently named Metro Top 50 cafe of 2019 and retrospectively or the pass 6 years. We are also well know for serving specialty coffee, our own take of asian/european fusion cusine and a good range of vegan/gluten free offering. The person we are looking for need to be an extremely motivated, talented individual to lead and manage our eatery with understanding in both our coffee and cusine.

You will be working alongside an experienced and motivated crew who strive to be the best in the hospitality industry. 

The time has come to welcome a new experience chef in our kitchen to work with us for the years to come. There are a few exciting projects awaits us, and there are plenty more for us to explore into.

The cafe is 7 days  from 7:00am~4:30pm, all food made on site including baking, cooking a simple menu and cabinet food prep, so if you have relevant experience then the skillset & experience will come in handy.

This job would suit someone with an mature and reliable personality with a min. of 3 years of experience of café cooking  under their belt. You will be working in a small team kitchen with the management team. Being an open kitchen, we need you to have  good personal presentation  and being able to demonstrate a positive, proactive and problem solving attitude with passion for food and service. A board and good understanding to Asian/European cuisine is important as well as being able to demonstrate good level of skill and execution toward cooking and food hygiene practices. 

You will also be working alongside the owner, managers and other supporting team members to promote what we do regularly.

The right candidate should meet the following criteria.

-  be responsible for planning, organising and running a busy kitchen, breakfast, lunch and a separated baking kitchen w/ the guidance of head chef.

- experience in fast past cafe and restaurant kitchen, strong sense of urgency.

- capable of designing and preparing bake goods, pastries, salad, sandwiches and menu food with simplicity, freshness, quality and a good splash of creativity.

- a good  team player who can step up to work solo when needed  & strong communicator.

- manage the ordering of stock & stock-taking.

- understand the importance of cleaning and keeping high standard

- ensure compliance to Food control plan, health & safety and food safety standards

- solid knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, efficiency and presentation.

This is a full-time permanent position of around 35~45 hours per week and hours must be flexible and will be required to work weekends.

Pay depends on experience, with comprehensive incentive bonus once settle into the role.
